25 March, 2011 - Audi recently added another feather to its cap by launching Audi R8 V10 Spyder in India. The car has been priced at around Rs 1.47 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Audi R8 V10 Spyder is loaded with 5.2 litre V10 engine which can produce 525 HP of power. The new car can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. The all newAudi R8 V10 Spyder is around 1.7 tonnes heavy and has a top speed of 313 kmph.

There is big good news for the super car lovers from Audi. Not long before in March 2011, did Audi launch the most anticipated Audi R8 Spyder roadster in India. Now the German luxury car manufacturer is already gearing up for the next generation Audi R8 super car and the next generation Audi R8 Spyder roadster versions in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The German engineering has taken a huge leap with some innovative technologies to enhance the performance and fuel efficiency of the two Audi cars to the next level. The Audi cars are lighter by 60 kg and odd to cut down the weight to 1500 kg boosting the performance to an all-time high. The Audi R8 super car powered by the 4.2 L V8 engine is now made to deliver 450 Bhp peak power while the power-packed driving experience of the Audi R8 Spyder roadster version with 5.2 L V10 engine is improved to churn out 550 Bhp maximum power. Both of them will be mated with the seven speed dual clutch gearboxes.

Speculations are high that the German auto giant is all geared up to roll out Audi R8 GT Spyder. It is revealed that the Audi R8 GT Spyder is a 5.2L V10 machine that is capable of accelerating 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 311 kmph. The Audi R8 GT Spyder’s V10 engine outputs mammoth 560bhp and 540Nm torque to power this sports car. It is also rumored that the R8 GT Spyder has the same wheel akin to the non GT version. In India the Audi R8 V10 Spyder is already launched and is priced between Rs1.15 crore to Rs1.47 crore.
